
The Jinju K-Entrepreneurship Foundation announced on the 10th that it held the “Jinju K-Entrepreneurship Awards” ceremony during the Jinju K-Entrepreneurship Youth Forum.
The event was organized as part of a startup competition aimed at fostering global entrepreneurs, inspired by the entrepreneurial spirit of the founders of four major Korean conglomerates—Samsung, LG, GS, and Hyosung.
Approximately 450 participants, including executives from major corporations, SME CEOs, aspiring entrepreneurs, young business leaders, and university students, attended the ceremony.
The Jinju K-Entrepreneurship Awards consist of four categories reflecting the core values of innovation, pioneering spirit, creativity, and challenge:
- Hoam Innovation Award
- Yeonam Pioneer Award
- Hyoju Creation Award
- Manwoo Challenge Award
In the startup category, the following companies were recognized and awarded KRW 10 million in prize money:
- Aslon – Hoam Innovation Award
- VisCure – Yeonam Pioneer Award
- Rebotics – Hyoju Creation Award
- Kkun Co., Ltd. – Manwoo Challenge Award
In the pre-startup category, Aristo, CareStation, Good Ullim, and ESG Fashion Tech received awards in their respective categories, each receiving KRW 5 million in prize money.
The awards in the startup category were presented by Kim Jong-uk, Chairman of the Jinju K-Entrepreneurship Foundation, and Jo Gyu-il, Mayor of Jinju, while Lee Kwang-geun, Chairman of the Korea Business Incubation Association, presented the awards in the pre-startup category.
Chairman Kim Jong-uk stated:
“We hope Jinju will grow into a global hub where young entrepreneurs learn the spirit of Korean entrepreneurship and pursue startup challenges. The foundation will continue to support the emergence of the next generation of global company founders from Jinju.”
The startup competition was jointly organized by the Jinju K-Entrepreneurship Foundation, Gyeongsang National University, and the Korea Business Incubation Association.
