
DB Insurance announced on the 8th that six startups have been selected for the 7th cohort of the “Transportation & Environment Challenge.”
The Transportation & Environment Challenge is a program designed to support social venture startups that address social issues in the transportation and environmental sectors. The program is hosted by DB Insurance, organized by the Environmental Foundation, and supported by the Ministry of Environment. Since its launch in 2019 as the first initiative of its kind in the financial industry, the program has now reached its seventh year.
Recruitment for the 7th cohort took place over approximately four weeks, from July 17 to August 17. After a document screening and two rounds of in-person evaluations, six social venture startups were selected.
The selected companies will receive business funding, one-on-one coaching, acceleration programs, and opportunities for investment attraction to support their growth.
The selected startups include:
- Roen Korea – AI-based traffic accident prevention solution for children
- RoboRoad – Autonomous road repair vehicle technology
- Paperpop – Eco-friendly paper furniture
- Invelab – Seed-ball technology for ecosystem restoration
- APGreen – Eco-friendly hydrogen production technology
- VisCure – Development of optically clear adhesives for displays
A DB Insurance representative stated:
