
Chungnam National University and Yuseong District of Daejeon jointly hosted the “Regional Startup Outstanding Technology Competition” to discover and support startups with innovative technologies in Daejeon’s strategic industries.
The competition was held on May 16 at Daejeon TIPS Town, with around 30 participants, including representatives from promising local startups and related institutions.
The event was designed to strengthen the innovation capacity and competitiveness of startups founded within the past seven years, particularly those developing technologies aligned with Daejeon’s core strategic sectors known as A·B·C·D industries:
- Aerospace
- Bio
- Chip
- Defense
Following the preliminary document evaluation, 10 selected startups presented their technologies related to these strategic industries, competing based on the technical excellence and differentiation of their innovations.
As a result, six startups received the Outstanding Technology Award, while four startups, including VisCure, received the Regional Economic Activation Award.
The award-winning companies in the Regional Economic Activation category included:
- Innature Co., Ltd.
- Zeta Mobility Co., Ltd.
- VisCure Co., Ltd.
- Remobility Co., Ltd.
The official award ceremony will be held later this year during the Chungnam National University Business Incubation Center Performance Exchange Event.
Chungnam National University and Yuseong District also announced that the selected startups will receive follow-up commercialization support and opportunities for investment linkage.
